About the Artist |

|
B Amore is a sculptor, installation artist and recipient of major public art commissions. She is Founder of the Carving Studio and Sculpture Center, recipient of Fulbright and Mellon Fellowships as well as numerous public sculpture commissions in the U.S. and Japan. She was raised in a predominantly Italian neighborhood of Boston and now lives and works between NYC and Vermont. Her work has evolved from classical wood and stone carving to combining welded steel with stone and on into complex multimedia installations involving text, ancestral objects, photography, stone and fabric. Amore taught for many years at the Boston Museum School, Tufts University and the Art Institute of Boston and is currently on the faculty at Vermont College. She is represented by SOHO 20 Gallery in New York City. If
